The Guanajuato Prosecutor's Office appealed the judge's decision that released a subject related to the Santa Rosa de Lima Cartel. On February 14, 2025, authorities detained Candelaria 'N', a 40-year-old woman linked to 'El Marro', the former leader of CSRDL. Classified as a high-profile criminal target, she is associated with violence, kidnappings, extortions, and racketeering. She maintained links with an inmate at the Ceprereso in León and is suspected of leaking information to the cartel to attack the police in Guanajuato.
Candelaria 'N' was arrested in Santa Rosa de Lima, Villagrán, a stronghold of the criminal group. She is in the hands of the Public Prosecutor's Office to define her legal situation. It is known that she directed selective executions, mainly against rivals such as CJNG. On the other hand, 'El Cholo', the alleged head of hitmen for the CSRDL, was captured in Dolores Hidalgo with weapons, drugs, and more, being responsible for violence in the area.
In another action, the prosecutor's office detained 'El Pizzero', the alleged plaza boss of CSRDL, and six accomplices in Santa Rosa de Lima. The girlfriend of 'El Marrito', son of 'El Marro', was also arrested for various crimes. 'El Gordo de Zempoala', the leader of a criminal cell, was detained, accused of murders, extortions, and kidnappings. He is linked to attacks on the police and is considered a high-profile figure in the Laja-Bajío area.
